My life-perspective has been shaped by the Christian tradition. I am still to this day drawn to the teachings and life of Jesus, although my understanding of what it means to be Christian is hugely different today, from what it used to be.
I am a ‘thinker’ and have always wondered about life and had lots of questions. I remember at age 6 looking at a 15-year-old family friend and thinking ‘I don’t know whether I will live long enough to become that old!’ I could not conceive living my whole 6 years over again and then some.
This tendency to ponder has its downsides like spending too much time in my head. But it does mean I approach things thoughtfully and find I offer perspectives that others don’t think of.
